Story about a depressed teen?

One who is depressed would generally take anti-depressants, yes. I would stick with that as to not confuse people on what type of drug you're talking about. the kid would also be more of a loner, since depressed people push people away. If this is a funny character, have him say things that are constantly a buzzkill. If he's in a serious book, make him angry, too. No one just cries all day. He would yell at people, possibly change into darker clothes, avoid people, and would probably not care about other people's feelings.
